Linksfield North Residents Association is a Non Profit Company set up with the intention of funding and maintaining an access boom and security function to the entrance of Linksfield North. Its origins have been to efficiently manage resident contributions in the best interest of the local Linksfield North Community in the most transparent way possible.
Today the Linksfield North Residents Association (LNRA) has morphed into something bigger. It is a statement against urban degradation and municipal neglect – it represents a directly negative correlation in that as the degradation continues, civil society gets stronger. There is a need to constantly improve, monitor and maintain the condition of one’s neighbourhood against the myriad of competing forces which derail property values and community morale.
The board consists of residents of Linksfield North, voted and elected by residents of Linksfield North in an effort to best serve the needs of Linksfield North within its control.
We concede that we are a small organisation serving a small community, but we are confident that if there are hundreds of communities doing the exact same thing – we would have a better South Africa.
